In many of us there is something so deeply ingrained in our beings that we cannot possibly stay away. For me, it is the beautiful process of pregnancy, birth, and the transition to parenthood. Walking with families through this important time in life is my deep passion and I’m so honored when I’m invited to share in this time with others.
Based out of South Minneapolis, I’m trained as a birth doula and certified through DONA. I’m also certified through UC San Diego as a Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (CLEC) and as a Spinning Babies® Parent Educator (SpBCPE). I’ve experienced three empowering births of my own babies (now ages 10, 8, & 5) and love journeying, educating and empowering other families through their own unique birth experiences.
Prior to becoming a doula, I was a social worker and worked as a home visitor and parent educator for eight years, helping educate and guide families on pregnancy and early childhood. I had the privilege of working with families from diverse backgrounds as well as very young birthing people, both one-on-one and though coordinating a teen pregnancy and parenting support program.
I trained with Liz Lull at Enlightened Mama, completed my CLEC training with Gini Baker (UC San Diego) and Liz Lull, have taken both Lamaze and Bradley Method childbirth classes, and am trained in the Parents as Teachers curriculum. I am a member of the Childbirth Collective and also work as a doula for Everyday Miracles.
I’d love to meet with you and see if I might be a good fit for your family’s birth. Go to the contact page to request a free consultation or to get more information.
